This elective offers students that are interested in digital healthcare innovations—specifically Prescription Digital Therapeutics (PDTx) and Software as Medicine—the opportunity to gain a structured, real-world understanding of this rapidly evolving field.
The course emphasizes how PDTx are clinically validated, regulated, prescribed, reimbursed, and adopted in practice, with increasing attention to the integration of wearables, biometric data, and digital endpoints. Through interactive seminars led by top pioneering CEOs and industry leaders, the elective incorporates discussion-driven sessions to engage students directly with operators at the forefront of the field. These sessions focus on real-world decision-making, strategic tradeoffs, and lessons learned across the PDTx lifecycle, providing insight into what drives success—or failure—once products reach the market.
Students must attend ALL 7 seminars to receive credit.
All students must email Maria Forero directly at the email above for permission to take the elective by February 14, 2027. In the email, students must include a one paragraph description of their motivation and goals for taking the elective. A final cohort of 15 will be selected based on this introductory email.
