AISS – Advanced Integrated Science Selectives
Course Description
The 4-week selective of Advanced Science Selective in Dermatology is to foster future
generations and leaders of physician scientists in medicine, skin related fields such as
dermatology, wound healing, plastic surgery, and otolaryngology, among others. The program
is to train medical students in a focused knowledge area of Skin Science. Through the
integration of fundamental basic science and clinical dermatology rotations, students will
become familiar with common skin disorders and potential underlined mechanisms and unmet
challenges.
